Build-Up Dates & Times
Due to the large number of stands, we urge all exhibitors to commence build-up on Monday, 24 February to avoid congestion and time delays on the last day of build-up Wednesday, 26 February.
- Monday, 24 February: 08:00 - 20:00 for floor space only Monday, 24 February 14h00 - 20h00 Premium package stands
- Tuesday, 25 February: 08:00 – 20:00
- Wednesday, 26 February: 08:00 – 22:00
Large designer custom-built stands may apply for early access on Sunday, 23 February from 10:00 to 17:00. Only a limited number of exhibitors will be allowed. There is no general security on Sunday and the Organisers do not take responsibility for any theft or damage to exhibitors’ property.
Loading bays
Locate the nearest loading bay to your stand for access during build-up (See layouts of Main Arena). Build-up Wristbands will be issued by security at the loading bays. To prevent delays, ensure staff, contractors and your suppliers have the correct company name and stand number to gain access to the venue.
Note: Build up teams arriving without knowing the correct company name and stand number/s cause delays and congestion at the loading bays.
Vehicles are to off-load in designated loading bays, free porter service is available. Vehicles may not be left unattended in front of loading doors, demarcated areas, and in any area where the flow of traffic will be obstructed. All other vehicles are to be removed from the loading bays immediately after off-loading (30 minute time restriction). The Organiser reserves the right to remove such vehicle at the exhibitor’s cost.
Only Blocks C & D car park will be manned by security for the duration of build-up. See precinct map of parking areas.
Height restrictions
Main Arena
Tower C: main door - 7m bottom, 4.5m end of the ramp, 4.1m high
Tower C: small roller door - 3.6 x 3.3m high (4 doors)
Entrance 1: 3.5 x 2.3m high (2 doors)
Tower A: glass door - 4 x 2.7m high
Tower A: main steel door - 3.6 x 3.2m high (3 doors)
If you are expecting deliveries from suppliers ensure that they have your correct company name, exhibiting name, stand number and contact person. Without this information, they will not be given a delivery access permit. All delivery permits are collected by security after the delivery has been made.
Vehicles will not be permitted into the exhibition venue due to weight restrictions and potential congestion of aisles.
Stand completion
Exhibitors are urged to plan their stand design well in advance to ensure stands are completed by 22:00 on Wednesday, 26 February. Stands that are not completed by opening of show on Thursday, 27 February will be penalized and the Organisers reserve the right to close off unfinished stands for the duration of the expo.
5.6.7 The organiser reserves the right to close off an exhibitor’s stand should the exhibit not be completed 2 hours prior to the opening of the exhibition, alternatively the organiser may fine the exhibitor 10% of this order value for every hour that the exhibitor’s stand is not completed timeously and the exhibitor shall pay such fine on demand.
