PROHIBITED PRACTICES
Products to be exhibited – Provisos
The product to be exhibited is stated on the contract to exhibit and Exhibitors are bound to adhere to the contract in this regard. The organisers reserve the right to prevent unlisted products, not complying with the profile of the Expo, to be exhibited.
- The Organisers reserve the right to prevent companies not contracted to exhibit from coming onto the show and “sharing” exhibition space without prior notification and approval from the Organisers.
- The exhibitor listings in print, online and displayed at the Expo are printed according to product/s listed on the contract to exhibit and are printed subject to ‘errors & omissions excepted’ proviso. Listings are limited to contracted 2015 Johannesburg HOMEMAKERS Expo Exhibitors.
- The product and/or service to be exhibited must comply with the home enhancement and home improvement profile of HOMEMAKERS Expo. Exhibitors are not to deviate from the product/s specified on the contract.
- Companies exhibiting in the themed area on the Upper Level ‘Decor & Furniture Ave’, to ensure stand display and product design is in line with the theme, standard and criteria for this area.
- Retail Exhibitors conducting direct sales doing demonstrations on their stands are to refrain from using lapel microphones and are required to monitor and control the sound level emanating from their stands.
Manning of stands and crowd control
Exhibitors to limit the number of staff present on the stand at all times and may not congregate in the aisles blocking visitor traffic. Representation, demonstrating and selling of product must be restricted to within the confines of the floor space purchased by the Exhibitor.
The handing out of any promotional material is restricted to from the Exhibitor’s stand at the Expo. Promotional material may be confiscated and staff handing out this material from elsewhere in the venue will be escorted back to their stand.
Complete Form No. 4 confirming product/s to be exhibited on the Expo. The Show Guide and Expo Newspaper are printed detailing Exhibitor contact details and products - errors and omissions excepted.
Deadline for this Form is 20 January 2015
In general:
- Exhibitors may not hand out pamphlets from any location other than their stands. Any pamphlets will be confiscated, especially those of companies not exhibiting at the expo.
- At the Organisers’ discretion alterations to stands or removal of items from stands may be necessary in the interest of the show as a whole.
- If demonstrations cause obstructions within the aisles or affect neighbouring Exhibitors, the Organisers reserve the right to take appropriate action
- The Organisers reserve the right to lower the volume of sound systems / noise emanating from an Exhibitor’s stand, which becomes disruptive to the Expo and neighbouring Exhibitors.
- Only the products listed on the contract/form no. 4 to exhibit may be displayed at the expo.
